Default Got my Stage 2 Jet Kit and HMF in today!

Well I finally broke down and got some parts that I have been wanting for some time. I picked up a rear skid plate, shock covers, handlebars + grips, E-brake block off plate, front bumper..and I got a HMF slip-on, and a Stage 2 Jet/Filter Kit. I got all the parts installed, including the pipe, except the Stage 2 kit. Should I follow the directions in the kit? It says to cut the snorkel, and install the dynojet needles on the #4 position from the top, does this mean the 2nd going up if you were holding it up right? And also, I have read the little booklet a million times but I am going to go with DJ144 and the DJ146 in the carbs, and 3 turns out on the screws. I live in Arkansas, and I looked up the altitude information for my area and it ranges from 200-1600FT, and I am running a aftermarket slip-on, so that is why I chose the 144 and the 146 mains. I am just wanting to make sure this sounds correct. Also the kit came with a outerwears for the K&N, should I run with the lid off the box, or leave the lid on? I also got a new Renthal Front Sprocket (13T). Anyone know what size the nut is? We dont have anything around the house, so I am going to buy the socket tomorrow so I will have it for future use. I am afraid that with my mods above installed, that it is going to be crazzy~ in the low range, but I can always re-gear it to fit my tastes. I have noticed that the little things made a huge improvment, like handlebars and new grips. The new grips feel so much better then stock and i love the handlebars, the bend is almost straight across like a MX bike, i feel like I have much better control. The rear skidplate is great too, I took off the plastic one, and had cracks and all kinds of scratches. Instead of buying a full skidplate, I made one out of galvonized steel, and seems to be holding up great, I will get some pictures of it, once I get all of my stuff installed. My next question, will new tires help? Right now I am currently running the stock Dunlop's, and I am about ready to get a new set. I ride alot of trails, but a buddy of mine has a simple flat track built, so I spend alot of time on it. I am looking at the Maxxix Razr's, anyone run these, and what do you guys think? Well Thanks for any advice, and comments
John

If you want to run with the lid off, you will have to go with 148/150 jets since that would make up for the increase in air, either way run with the outerware. I cant remember the size of the nut but its around 21mm or so. The sprocket you got is the same as the original for the raptor, if you want more top speed go with a 14T, if you want less acceleratiom but less top speed go with a 12T. Hope this helps

Make sure you have at least a proflow kit for that air filter before you run with out a lid!

You'll be very happy with all your goodies for the Raptor. Espically the jet kit, filter, and slip on. It will really wake up your Raptor. And if I was you, I would run with the lid off to get extra air flow. You will need to jet up alittle higher with the lid off but it will increase performance.
