Hey Guys I need help.

I have not changed anything beside installing a new Moose Billet Thumb throttle (which is great). I know seem to have a very hard stumble in the mid range. It seems to be worse in rough terrian. I was ridding a local motorcross track to-night and it was really bad. It would be fine when I was wide open or accerated past the stumble/bog. Other wise the carb and bike work great, starts and idles fine, pulls hard @ wide open throttle, just that nasty stumble ???

Any help would be great

 

If it worked fine before, and all you changed as the moose throttle and now its acting up I would have to think that the cable adjustment is to blame. Is it possible you old setup did not let the slide go all the way down, thus creating a false idle? Does it idle slower now with the new thumb throttle? Some have suggested that the lectron likes a higher idle. I have mine set a just about at factory specs.

My best advice is, if you bought it from Mr. HP you paid top dollar for it, but it included some of the best customer service, so utilize it! Pick up the phone and call him, I am sure he can help you tune it better then any of us on here.

I have my Lectron idling at about 1800-ish right now. Where is yours idling at? Did you ever adjust the carburetor since installing it or is it still in original shipping configuration? Is the stumble on acceleration or deceleration or both? How is the throttle pull now - I bet your happy with that eh!?

 

I have not adjusted the carb @ alll. The idle seem to beem the same as it was before I swapped out the throttle. Don't know what rpm it idles at - don't have a tach.
