Adjusting Parking Brake/Rear Brake Lever on a Wolverine
#1
I noticed that my P-brake is not gripping anymore. Considering the quad is an 04', I'm assuming I need to adjust the free play. Any tips on this task, or are the instructions in the owners manual pretty adequate?

Don't waste your time. It's a very poor design which requires adjustment once per tank of fuel. Instead of fixing this poor design, Yamaha added a ignition cutout so you don't accidently drive around all day with your parking brake on. I recommend disconnecting this switch, and learn to leave it in 1st to keep it from rolling forward, and reverse to keep it from rolling backwards. Otherwise an awesome machine...congrats.

I agree the parking brake is a piece of crap. Back the bolt on the rear brake caliper all the way out so there is no drag on the brake disk. What I did was get a short strap that hooks with velcro ( watch band ). When stopped tighten it around your front brake lever and grip, locking your front tires.
