The DS 650 is a great machine in my opinion and if I owned one I probably would be saying the same thing....

I tried to buy one for months but I couldn't one so I settled for a Scrambler 500, but I not making that mistake agian, my Raptor is on order and I will be posting HONEST comments about its performance when I get it.

Last weekend I went riding on my 400EX with one of my friends that has a 01 400ex with WB exhaust. We seen a DS 650 and was talking to him and wound up racing across a damn that was probally 400 yards. We all lined up even and after counting to 3 we took off. The 2 400EX jumped about 5 bike lenghts on the DS and was way ahead UNTIL about half way across the dam. Then I guess the DS kicked in and blew past us like if we were sitting still. He wound up beating us by ATLEAST 10 quad lenghts. I always thought the DS was junk and way to big and not all that fast but I will have to give it credit, it is one bad *** bike. I cant wait to get my Raptor to see how close they are.

 

Where did you see the ds, I took mine to flat river(st. joe) a little while back and did a lot of drag racing. There were two other ds's there also but I had paddles on. My little brother did most of the racing but we had a great time. I am assuming that you know st. joe and if you go there when your raptor gets in E-mail me and we can do a side by side comparison. I stop by my dealer quite a bit, cant wait to see the raptor in person.
