I never been to The Hot Wells. Recently met some people from that area, and am supposed to plan a trip. I ride in trust lands around AJ and Queen Valley. Alot of nice area to ride between Queen Valley and Globe. Roger's Trough Loop is nice ride. I hit Sycamore occassionally. Usually on the off weekends though, can be alot of young idiots out there at times. Bartlett Lake is one of my favorite spots to ride also.

I just heard about HotWells a couple of weeks ago.A buddy of mine went there and said it was about as far as it is to Glamis. We were hoping that it might be alot closer.Iknow it is cheaper(around 3 bucks a day vs$25 in Glamis)Weve been out to the Queen valley area also.Iv'e never been to Bartlett though. Is it the same kind of terrain?

There is a site for arizonians called "Riding arizona" and they alway's have a few rides listed and everyone i have been out riding with has been great to ride with. they list rides and give a good idea what your in for.Everything from single track to 4x4 rockers. Hang at Glamis most of the winter, run Martinez Cabin now and then. Some good trails can be found outside of Superior. We have a few indian ruins that we ride to. At the present time, nobody else knows about them so we still find pottery and other stuff lying around the huts.
In the summer time, we head up to Forest Lakes or Williams. We should all get a DS ride together! I have 2 buddies that ride a DS as well.
I have never been on a Riding Arizona outing, but it looks fun. Mostly cruisers not sport bikes, but what the heck, it's all good.

www.ridingarizona.com good bunch of folks... There is the Rolls OHV area just past the Saguaro Lake turn off. Take Bush hwy from Power Rd in Mesa, (or Usery Pass) and take the next right after the Butcher Jones exit. It's the overflow parking for the lake. Behind the parking lot is the Rolls. No license needed here. You can go for miles clear to 4 Peaks if ya want. The other end of the Rolls area is off the 4 Peaks road. (off of hwy 87) About 1/4 mile off the hwy there is a parking/staging area.

Snoop around on the ridingarizona site for more locations in the East valley. I'm V10man there too..

Or you can keep going past Hot Wells and head into New Mexico. West of Silver City is the Burros, a small range of National Forest riddled with mines and old mining roads and trails. Great riding. 5,000 to 8,000 ft.
About 400 miles of trails.

Or head a little north up U.S. 180 past Glenwood, up into the higher elevations past Mogollon. North of the Gila Wilderness is a labyrinth of trails around 9,000 feet elevation, mostly old logging roads and trails.
Right now access to this area is still cut off because of snow drifts, but once you AZ guys get sizzling in the summer heat, this is the best place to ride in the southwest. All National Forest. 3 million acres.
