Speed differences with 12 tooth on aWarrior?????
#2
I don't know of anyone usin a 12 T c/s sprocket on a Warrior unless they use it for a tractor. I'd hazard a guess & say you'd give away 5 to 10 mph on top and corresponding amounts in mid range. When I switched to 20" tires on my Warrior I saw a big drop in speed & big increase in rpms. A 14" c/s cog returned it to more or less normal. I now run a 15" and still have plenty of low end; enough to break the Bandits loose up to 3rd gear.
12 teeth is the low minimum recommended to minimize strain on the chain & c/s itself. Even so, the sharp angle the chain must achieve to travel around the small sprocket has to be considerable stress on the links.

I have a 12 tooth on my warrior. I do alot of mountain riding so I got a set of Pure Sport REaltor tires for the rear. To turn those with some power is why I went lower on the sprocket. It does lower the gearing signifigantly. I think I will kick up my rear to a 42 to even it out a little more. The plus is right now I can really drag race. And at high altitude 5500+ I can actually use 6th gear now. I also have aluminum proflo adapter with a K&N airfilter and a Procircuit T-4 pipe. I can go through any snow and mud that a 4x4 can. I'm looking at getting a torque stuffer or a new cam next.
