Default 5 weeks later, I might have my YFZ again

Haven't visited here for a while! But yeah, not happy with yamaha for a while. It's been 5 weeks and I am finally getting side cases after my engine grenaded. I finally was forced to place 3 calls to Yamaha customer serivce and use stern words that I wanted cases now. On the 3rd call they sent them. They wouldn't give me a new engine, but the only parts we are reusing are the transmission and clutch, and they are going through the parts washer after the chrapnel that floated through the engine. Hopefully it holds together. The last 2 races, I raced a bone stock raptor in the A class for harescrambles...man that is a tippy machine...After a few constructive critisisms, my buddy is getting offset rims so the rappy will slide a little better!

Good to hear it! Watching you race the raptor wasn't easy on anyone watching you either.

By the way if you get a trailer I got you a sleeper deck.

Thats sounds like a real bummer. Sounds like the kind of service people got that bouhgt 01 Raptor's and then had transmision problems. Looks like you have mods on your YFZ450, I have read that motor on the YFZ450 is not as detuned as other atv motors from the factory and the tendency to grenade multiplies significantly with power increases.

Dude.....Raptor.....tipppy? Are you crazy?! LOL! Ahhh, it was mighty fun watching you ride my Rappy around corners on two wheels. Kinda like the Dukes of Hazard.

It still is cool that you schooled some YFZ's on the Raptor, can't wait to see you back on your own machine. Hell, maybe someday we can go riding together!

I know how you feel, I just got my 450r back ( 5 weeks for me too), I was having the hrc kit put in. They said they didnt have the shims for it and said the valves needed to be adjusted. I asked him if i could ride it until he got the shims in. He said it would blow up and not be covered by warranty, yeah ok.
