Default Warrior problem.. lil bit of acidnet.. :S not good.

Well the other day was riding the warrior down the road and it wouldn’t want to run at top end very good for some reason well it was getting low on gas so figured that was the problem, and I wish it was…
Well today went out riding put gas in it. took off and still did it so I had no idea figured it was the carb being dirty or clogged so I just let it and it started to run a lil better about 2-3 miles. Well got about 5 miles from home going WOT down the highway and it was running good, little head wind so couldn’t get up to top speed like it should got about 200-300 feet from the little MX track near home about 6 mile drive, when all of a sudden the old warrior went CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK…. I was like O ****.. well it died and had buddy go to the track and get someone to pull me back.. well we pulled it up there and a few guys there knew some about motors and had the guy pull me to start me.. (starter’s been out) well started idled good and then CLUNK CLUNK. Died so it was NOT good we shut it off called dad to bring the truck loaded up and went home…
Spent the next few hours tearing motor down.
Drained oil- lot of metal, pulled the filter out and more and more metal filings, figured the piston or rings was junk, I wish any way.
Plug- Good mixture
Cam chain/sprockets- all in tacked.
Pulled the head off. Piston looked good
Pulled cylinder off no scoreing.. started to get worried, took the piston off lil bit of scratches on the side under the rings. Was like WTF and had no idea, so grab ahold of the connecting rod and it moved a lil to much!! Bearing went out of the connecting rod to the crank. So I have no idea what happened. Do you guys have any idea? And now how does the crank, connecting rod come out apart. And what should I put in? should I go with a alba piston kit and cam in now for 400 bucks or what ever? To get more power? Or get some used stuff off ebay to save some money and try to sell it? or just put a kit and get more power and keep it? any info would be greatly appreciated..

You have to get the crank pulled apart and a new rod kit put in. Its gonna cost you a pretty penny, but not break the bank. You need to research the cause. Was it natural failure or induced by something else? I advise pulling the oil pump out and making sure its still good. Wont be much extra work to that while your in there. If your wanting to hop it up though, why not get the crank stroked? your going to have to pay somone to pull it apart and put it back together, so have em do a lil extra while their at it. Only companies I know of off the top of my head that will stroke one are FST and Powroll.
