Raptor tunning question
#1
I took my Raptor out to PA this weekend and it had a really bad bog down low. I opned up the carbs but I think I turned them out too much. Now it doesn't start. Anyone know what is the proper turning of the air screw and how can I get my arm ripping throttle response back?

The bog may be your floats, if they flood the idle circuit of the carb it will bog down low. Set your air screws @ 2.5 turns out from all the way in, that should get you started. Once you're sure your floats are good (clear tube method - do a search), you can fine tune the air screws by blipping the throttle and adjusting until the rpms drop right back down to idle. If it takes a second for the rpm to drop, air screws are too lean. If the rpms drop below idle and then to idle, air screws are too rich. Adjust in 1/8 turn increments and your stock head pipe should not glow red.
