waiting on my new 690 with the LTE dual exhaust
#1
I took the raptor in for a build up today and it sounds like it should be pretty fast when it is done.I am getting the new LTE dual exhaust system with a wiseco 11:1 piston, head porting, lightened flywheel, web cams, web valve springs,1mm over sized exhaust valves, and a carillo rod.I am anxious to see just how much of a performance gain i will see compared to what i have been running which is just a 102mm 11:1 piston and pipe. The hard part is going to be the wait which will be about three or four weeks but it will be worth it.Is anyone running the LTE system on a raptor and if so how do you like it?Any opinions on how much of an improvement i would see by switching my tires from what i have now (ten paddle haulers 20-10-10)to the same tire in a lightweight buffed tire of the same size?

You will love the new build. The LTE duals are very sweat looking. Take out the spark arrestor and they sound a lot better. As for the tires...the lighter the better. Congrat's, and get ready for a long wait....it will seem like forever and a day before you get your Raptor back.

Yamaha660r-I am sure the time will go fast as busy as i am right now but still waiting is a drag.BigBubba-Once i get the quad back and get some ride time on it for a break in period i would be glad to see how mine will do against a craycraft.I have seen some of this builders 690 raptors run at florence and they are very impressive.I will have to put in some tweak time initially but dialing it in should be no problem.I sometimes drive the wife nuts because i am always trying to get that little bit extra out of our motors but it usually pays off.The carillo rod and lightened flywheel are a pretty expensive upgrade but it will be worth it for piece of mind in the case of the carillo rod.
