Just wondering if the noise coming from my 00 Big Bear Se's engine is normal, been there since new, had it back to the dealer, he claims that it is normal. Sounds like excessive clearance at the rocker to valve stem contact point. It's most noticable at an idle especially after a hot restart.

No, it's not normal!! It's called loose valves. Why don't you get a service manual and learn to do the job yourself? Sounds like your dealer doesn't give a damn. Better fix it, because it isn't gonna get better on it's own!

Mine did the same thing , you would adjust them and 2 hours later they were making noise just like before. My brother has the same year B.Bear and his never makes a sound.
