Default Should I pick up a 240cc '91 Blaster

Hey guys,

I been dying for a manuel clutch (but love the kota) so i found this kid whose got supposedly a nice running 91 240cc blaster...he says it starts on the first kick..all stock except the 240 and twist throttle...i guess the shocks are in good cond....I can get it for under $900 bucks.....
Will this thing be sweet?...I've seen stock blasters they seem cool...
will this one fly?....i will maybe get different shocks and def. tires
but Im just wondering if this thing will be a sweet "beater" quad....something to go fast...
but how reliable will this be??
kid says the engine has been rebuilt...all new....runs fine

what's ur 2 cents?

THANKS~

I have to wonder why its so cheap...... If it were a true 240 and had just been rebuilt with no known "problems" he should be asking more for it. Sounds fishy to me......

it wouldnt fly without after market parts cuz the stock parts are so restictive, it may be 240cc's but will not be much faster over stock w/out porting

It dont sound like to bad a price the reason he is only asking 900 or less is because it is 13 years old. I mean a new one is less than 3 grand so they dont really have alot of value to hold onto unless they are very very modified and that constitutes more than a 240 piston. Just look it over really good. shake all the tires to check for bearing or ball joint wear grab the a-arms andgive them a tug check the rear axle for cracks ( right by the hubs) or if its bent etc.. you know, make sure you see what you are getting into.
