how much would you take off of a head to get about 14:1 compression?

I have 12:1 and I think Rick said it was some where around 50, and still can run pump gas. 14:1 you have to use racing fuel.

The heads that Rick mills are I believe 0.20. Which is I think 12:1.

Mine as well go for the HPD billet head then. Better cooling and they are set up for the high compression.

Mr. Bill O'Riely. I love the "No Spin Zone" Bill is great, especially the way he just rips people apart when he senses the "BS" (ie. everything the democrates have to say)

If you are going to go with high compression, then the head needs to be sent off to Rick or HPD to get done correctly. Taking a little bit to still run pump gas is fine and helps. When you start removing a lot of material and get the head close, then there are other things to worry about. Piston clearance, squish clearance, and squish angle come into play and are very important for proper performance. It costs only about $60 to get one done, but it is really one of the critical things too.
