I was looking for any information, good or bad. I bought the atv Saturday and took her to St. Joe Park Mo. She loves the atv. I put back in the shop to have all the restrictions removed. I'm new to the Arctic Cat, I have four Polaris's and this was my first AC.

There is a spacer on the drive clutch, make sure your dealer removed it. Some dealers are not aware of the spacer and they only remove the slide clip causing the 90 to over rev. This can be a problem. Other than that keep the spark arrester clean (remove three bolts from the silencer end cap, arrester is in the end of the silencer). Other than that 90's are very good machines.

My brother has an 03 and his kids ride the he!! out of it and there has been zero problems with it. Did you buy the 2 stroke or the new 4 stroke ?? I almost bought one for my kids, But I wanted a four stoke and I bought a yamaha grizzly 125. I was seriously considering the 90 4 stoke, But my son is growing like a weed and I wanted a little bigger machine. Good luck with it.

I bought the arctic cat 2 stroke and my daughter loves it. She's 8 yrs old and has no problems riding it. She test rode almost every atv for kids out there, and this one was the best for her. Most of them she had problems with the hand breaks, the arctic had the easiest breaks for her. she rides every weekend at St. Joe MO.

That is where the problem is with the 125 I bought. My son can ride it fine and even though I have it governed way down I have to ride on it with my daughter because she can't operate the brakes well enough to be safe. You will like the cat and I bet if neither were govened down the 90 would keep up to the 125 because it is a 2 stoke and 100 pounds lighter. As I said my brothers kids are hard on theres and have had no problems.

Congratulations on buying the AC90 for your daughter. She should enjoy it. I was going to buy my son a AC 90 but like other parents my son is growing at a very fast rate. If I bought him a four wheeler for his age then he would have a 90. But like most other people I do not have a lot of money to spend. I wanted to make a 1 time investment so after long careful consideration I bought him a AC300 4x4 Mrp with a winch. He will never outgrow it. The machine will never be too small for him. I just constantly stay on him and make sure that he keeps it in the low gears and doesnt go fast. As time goes on he will develop better riding skills.
