Default needle position or main jet?

three weeks ago i installed my mrhp end cap and went riding , very impressed way more mid range . (jetting at 180 dyno jet, needle at richest 3500 ft ) last weekend it was alot warmer and we were at about 2500 ft it wasn'nt quit quite as snappy . my buddie said every machine seems to run good where we were three weeks ago because of the elevation, but i don't believe that , if its warmer this weekend and at a lower elev should i **** with the needle or main jet , or is it trial and error?

Try moving the needle down a couple clip positions, It's really easy to get t (compared to swapping jets). If it seems worse, you should probably try jetting up to a 185 dynojet. The temp should make more difference than the elevation you posted so I am guessing lean it out a little. Also the needle effects the mid range more than the main jet. I run with the dynojet needle and 185, needle at 2nd clip from the top with a mod end cap at sea level. My cap is no where as open as the MRHP endcap.
