Default YFZ450 Air/Fuel Mix Carb Adjustment

I purchased a new YFZ450 last week. So far I am impressed with handling and performance.

I am quite familiar with the air/fuel adjustment on previous bikes I have owned by am not familiar with the adjustment on the YFZ. The dealers said it is capped for emissions restrictions and would not disclose its location for CYA reasons. I am looking for information with respect to the location of the adjustment. Thanks for any feedback.

On the bottom of the carb in front of float bowl. A seal pick or a pointy object of some sort will remove the cap.

It would be money well spent to get a Zip-Ty. Alba sells them.

Thanks for the info. I found some good info regarding jetting on http://www.eskimo.com/~daddog/index.htm. As it turns out mine was not capped. The location does suck though.

Wonder how it's setup here in Canada, all the bikes seem to be different up here, less restrictions for emissions, everyone cuts out their cats outta their street rides and have open header straight pipes on their Harley's too. Have to see when mine comes in I guess wether it has the cap or not, and what they set it up for in my area?
