First you have to loosen the carrier bolts 17mm that go from your sprocket side to the brake side. Then loosen the lock nut 12mm. While looking at it from behind (left) is tightening the chain (right ) is loosening.

Good luck you will have to play with it to see what works best for you to get it right. You can't just go with the marks the swing arm and carrier they are not correct. I love my raptor but this is one of worst designs that anyone has. JMO

What do you mean the index marks are not accurate?

Crap, I just tightened up my chain for the first time and used them as the reference. How do I do it right if I screwed the axle allignment up?

On mine when I set the adjuster screws on the same marks on both sides my axle is not strait. So I measure my axle to the frame for my adjusting.

Mine sucks, I only have adjustment marks on the left side. I'm taking a shot in the dark on the right. Plus is is absolutely ridiculous to get to the adjuster on the right side w/ the brake lines there. Horrid design!

I think the Manual says 1.25 to 1.75 in up and, down movement.

thats off the bike by the manual, but it is best to put your weight on it when adjusting.
