I checked out moto.com and helm.com and both are out of stock. I called the local honda shop and ordered a Honda repair manual and they said that Clymers only makes a repair manual for a 300EX. Does anyone know who has the Clymer manual for the 400EX in stock?

 

I have noticed that the Clymer repair manual for the 400ex is actually the 300ex manual with some other adaptations to sell the same manual to 400ex owners also. Some things in the Clymer manual are absulately wrong or does'nt exist! Do yourself a favor and buy another brand, even if it is more expensive!

 

I just bought a manual from amazon.com. It is a Haynes manual for both the 300ex and 400ex. It may be like the other manual, but it shows pics of both the 300ex and 400ex.Hope this helps!

 

For working on the 400ex and doing any serious wrenching what manual would you guys recomemend?

Honda shop manual! Spend the extra money, its worth it.

 

I got the honda manual, and I like it.

 

The Honda 400EX manual is actually very user friendly, I highly recommend it.

 

Spend the cash, get the Honda shop manual. Worth every cent and easy to use.
