Here are a couple of pictures. It was a standard model, still waiting to see the baja/X.
The plastic is all a bright red. I like the red color they choose, same as the 04 nose and tank. The front upper a-arms are back to steel. No other changes

Never asked about the price - already have two DS's and am happy with them.

Looks like the 05's are coming out earlier than expected. Every dealer I have spoke with said late July. Maybe they are only shipping to dealers who have sold out of their 04's
Looks like the aluminum upper A-arms going away is true afterall. Glad I got an 04.

Back in March I ordered an '04 DS650 Viper from Fourlix, down in Gila, New Mexico. It just came in last week, and it is an '05 model. So the '05 DS650s are definitely here, and they are all red with the different graphics like was said above. The price for an '05 is the same I am told.
Being as I cant get down to Gila to pick it up, mine will be delivered to me in Las Vegas on June 13th. The waitng is killing me...

Yes the '05 has steel upper control arms. I hear that Bombardier went back to steel after having several aluminum a-arms fail (although I have NEVER heard of anyone breaking their aluminum upper a-arms on an '04 DS).
And if you ever do break an aluminum a-arm, and order a replacement a-arm from Bombardier, they will send you a steel a-arm. Personally, if I broke an OEM aluminum a-arm, I would go aftermarket for a replacement though.

Keep in mind my '05 is in Gila, New Mexico, and I am in Utah, ... but yes I am told it has the same specs (minus the aluminum upper a-arms), with new graphics and plastic color being the only changes from '04. In fact, late production '04 DS650s had steel upper control arms as well.
And one other tid bit, ... my DS's serial number is 112, which means it was the 112th '05 DS650 made.
