We have come full circle eh? Phil (aka 3TV,Outer limits) and I met through this forum about three years ago through our qwest for the perfect quad, both of us on DS-650s. We modded, we traded, we kept writing, and riding. We met up in Utah for a fantastic ride on the Paiute trail and Little Sahara.
We are both back on DS-650s......and lovin' it. My route was more direct, I bought Phil's '02 Baja before my X (with the aluminum uppers), Phil went tricked out Raptor, then Grizzly (what the ?), then V-Force. But Phil has seen the light and is buying an '05 Viper Red from me. (I should talk about Phil's obsessions.....I became a Bomb dealer!)
SO for any of you doubters out there, save yourself some dough and get a DS instead of wasting your time and money on some other POS.
The new graphics on the Viper are very cool. I doubt there will be any changes on the X, it is still way hot.
For me there is nothing like the groove I get into when riding the X. We are as one. It is amazing. We are hooked up. Oh, and sorry if I blew your cover Phil......

And did anyone notice the black frame? When did they change from gray?
Fourlix,
Thanks for the great deal. And I still have the Grizzly, simply because I have never found one ATV that can perform well at both sport quad and 4x4 style riding. I think I've tried them all, ... Grizzly, Prairie, Rincon, V-Force, and even a Sportsman HO. So I keep the Grizzly, which is the best I have found for rock crawling, and my sport quad only goes to the desert or the dunes. What really sucks, is when you have a DS650, and trade it on a Raptor just to find out that you liked the DS650 better (I hope you enjoyed that Baja, LOL). Then you trade the Raptor on a V-Force just to find out that the DS650 is better than it as well. So three sport quads later you are right back where you started from. I could have had a pretty trick DS650 with the money I have spent experimenting with other ATVs.
