Hey guys I was just wondering how often does the fan on your predator, and sportsman 500 H.O. come on? My fan seems to come on alot and I wanted to know if this was normal?

you mean yours turns off? Hozed is tright it is almost always on and that is normal - if your riding hard and its not running I would be more nervous.
Hey Hozed what do you think of that yammy front end compared to the pred - I found it a bit harch regardess of adjustments made - One of the guys in our little club agrees and is looking for replacement shocks any input on this?

Same here, After about 10 minutes of riding the fan comes on and runs for 95% of the time, that was stock...
I add some red line water wetter and the fan only comes on for about 15min then turns off, it cut the time in half...

Get the Water Wetter, at least one CFM inline cooler, and some radiator scoops. Also helps to ceramic coat the head-pipe.

As for me I like the fact the fan comes on... gives me a feeling of, "Yep that’s right I rode the hell out of you, and now look at ya all tired and gasping for air". I know Dr. Freud would have a hay-day with that quote, but he's dead, I'm not, and its better than thinking sh$t I'm tired and this freak'n quad is barely warmed up
So my closing thoughts on this; enjoy these moments with your fan because some day you’ll go for a ride and wonder how in the world do you get this fan to turn on.
Have a great holiday nad enjoy your fan!

Uh what?! With available parts, which are extremely easy to install, why would you want to run a machine hotter than you have to. A CFM inline cooler takes probably 5 mins to install. Flushing, and re-filling you cooling system w/ Water Wetter can easily be done in 30 mins. or less. Installing a set of radiator scoops takes about 5-10 mins. The head-pipe on the Predator is easily removed, and Jet-Hot Coatings has a great track record for quick turn around shipping. There have also been some theories floating around that link running higher temps to possible trans fatigue. So my question "in closing", is why settle for mediocrity? Do your best for the machine, and it will pay huge dividends in trouble free riding in return.
