Default 400ex ac pro-peg nerfs

I am thinking about purchasing a set of these nerfs for my EX. How is the position of the pegs, are they pretty much in the same position of the standard pegs?

i'd say there positioned the same as the regular foot pegs, because they should bolt right on replacing the stock ones.

IMO, I would skip on the AC pro-pegs and get the new X-Factor pro-pegs. They cost $70 more but instead of a cheesy aluminum peg like on the AC that will eventually wear down you get steel pegs that are double wide and come with a kick-up extension.

Actually, the footpegs will be 1/4" higher with the AC Propegs. 1BAD250R makes a good point about the X-factor nerfs unless weight is your main concern. The AC are extremely light weight. Personally, I use an old DG design that have heavy-duty steel pegs that are 1" lower and moved back about 3/4". I feel the added weight is more than made up by the lower center of gravity.

x-factor pro pegs $279 @ x-factor

True the AC pegs are at a low price, but they wear down quickly. A friend of mine had them on his R and they wore down after two seasons and he had to buy new pegs and fabricate them into the nerf bar. The X-Factors may cost more but they are well worth it.
