Hello all! Here's my questions.

1) Can I redline my banshee by accident and blow the pistons? Is there a way I can accidentally blow my pistons?

2) How do I wheelie it? Is it easy? I haven't done it yet, but I haven't ridden it much either.

Thanks for the info,

Jason

Mr. Motordude0616
It seems your probably the best rider in the world...making comments like that to someone who is just asking for advice... (I just re-read your post...I can't tell...But it might have been your spelling that made it look like you were calling him a puss...or you meant to push the throttle? ....If I was off key...I apologize)

Of course it's possible to over rev your banshee and melt a piston or rings.... I would not worry about it though. The response about changing/checking oil is correct (but nicer way of putting it would have been great)

Give it some time and you will be able to know By listening how far you can go in each gear. The Banshee when jetted properly can withstand alot of revs without a hiccup. I'm guessing by the mods listed on your bike...that the TORS system is probably history by now...So throttle control is up to you.

As far as wheelying goes....that comes with time also. A single blip of the throttle in 1st, 2nd, possibly 3rd gear should send the front wheels skyward. Usually it takes some time to learn to wheely with confidence. The banshee has a hard hitting power band which can launch those wheels at a moments notice. It has a balance point...which takes some nerve to find. As a person just starting out...I would recommend not sitting down while trying your first few wheelies.
Stand right up over the front and give a little pull while you hit that throttle....It will become easier after a few scares.

I think you will like the banshee...as long as you have the patience to learn with it.

Good luck.
(I must be a puss too...I can only wheely through the first 3 gears )

...good suggestions on listening to the engine sound to determine shift points/over-revving, etc. might i also suggest that the feel of how the engine is pulling is one of the best ways to figure when to shift. (try to shift before the power curve drops off...)
