Looks like the 400ex's are no longer gonna be the king of the woods or maybe the mx track either.There gonna test the 400ex against the Raptor next month.After beating a banshee if i was Honda id go hide!No offense intended!

 

Alumminum = breakage

EXAMPLE: 400EX alumminum swingarm breaks.
Most of the Rapter is alumminum, it will break, or bend. For the price of the Rapter, $6499,you can make the 400EX go faster with the extra $800. But that's just my opinion. I am not trying to start something.

HUH they never were! BANSHEE CAN BEAT 400ex ANY DAY!!!!

 

I can't see how 800 bucks in any EX will make it faster than a raptor..now matter how good/bad the new yammers low end is. Remember we are talking 220cc LARGER and not that much heavier. Don't get me wrong...I like an EX, but stock or with 800 bucks in it..its not going to outrun a DS or R. Now in the woods...it SHOULD be able to hold its own or even outrun it there (the DS for sure).
Sometimes too much is um well....too much! (Except for us Banshee guys :-)

 

Morvac...I agree...there is no way a 400ex will run with the Raptor with just $800 in mods. I believe fully tricked out 400ex's put out about 45hp (talkin major bucks). Imagine what fully modded Raptor's will be putting out...65hp+

 

The banshee could beat a 400ex on sand, but take the riding to the woods & the 'shee can't come close!

The 400ex & 'shee were made for two different riding environments. Now the Raptor is trying to combine the two & become the true king. Soon the wait will be over.

As I recall the Raptor is only faster on top end than the Banshee. With my engine mods, under $800, I can beat all stock banshees, 250Rs, and the DS. So if the Banshee is faster than the Raptor,low end and mid. Then I should be able to take a stock Raptor.

 

it doesnt matter if raptors are faster than the 400EX on the track, they run in 2 different classes . and if Im rite the ama limit of ccs is 653 even on the open class, so the raptor isnt legal
