Default 2nd set for 04 Scrambler?

I would like to get a 2nd set of wheels and tires for my 04 Scrambler 4x4 for the times I go wheelin with all the utes. I can get through pretty much anything I care to go through but sometimes on those rides I would like to have some of those bigger mud lite type tires.
Anyone out there do that to their Scrambler? I know I would have to keep the tire ratios the same as not to screw up the 4x4. Just wondering what size I could go and how the bike handled with them. When im done with that type riding, just slap on the original and off I go.

How aggressive of a tire are you looking for. Because something like the Mudlite would be a good choice for an all around tire. The ITP 589's would be good for more deeper mud, but I wouldn't use them for every day trail riding on the scram. If you are looking for more ground clearance too, then something like a 25" front and 24" rear would be about as big as I would go. Remember too, some of those mud tires require 12" rims. Also, you may need to adjust the clutch with those oversized tires. Maybe change the primary spring to a Polaris white for more RPMs at take off to get you rolling.
