Default Five on a Rincon

School is out and the kids are too. Just watched my neighbors daughter ride through with 4 passengers on their Rincon. Five people counting the driver. One child in front of the driver, one on the seat behind the driver and two kids on the rear rack. (to the sides) I don't think I saw a helmet in the group. Usually the younger kids have a helmet on. How long do you think they have before they wreck?

That reminds me of what I seen the last time I went riding. 4 trucks pulled in with 6 quads in total. 13 people got out. the first quad to leave for the trails had just 1 rider and cooler. that left 12 people for 5 quads and every quad had attest 1 cooler but most had 2. well they all piled on and left and not 1 of them had a helmet.

They were riding on paved roads. I'm not sure how far they were going. There's just a point where it isn't fun to ride anymore. How does anyone enjoy riding an over loaded quad?

I just got the date of my Honda safety course. So, I'm thinking safety.

this sounds like some kinda algebra problem!

anyway, it pisses me off to see the people to atv ratio too high. this is why the industry is under attack because of stupid crap like that. I saw it the other day - about 4 'kids' on a recon going ful blast down the road 2 on the seat, one on the front rack, one on the back rack- no helmets- not a care in the world and went by me. now what would have happend if they were just a few feet over, came in my lane and hit my 2 ton cheverolet head on? stupid hurts. it needs to stop.

stupid hurts
Ain't that the truth. I spent over 20 years in EMS & Fire svc and I can't tell you how many total idiots I picked up from ATV accidents in southern WV and VA. Quite a few dead ones too. In probably 95% of the cases, alcohol and no helmets were the biggest problems.

Last month, several of us were riding near the end of the newest Hatfield-McCoy trail at Pinnacle Creek. We passed a whole herd of people, must have been 20, in this group. The very last guy........... God, I still can't believe I saw this ....... One tooth in his helmet-less head, open Bud longneck between his legs, driving with his right arm with the left one in a cast and sling. The left arm also had four rods sticking out of the cast, indicating recent reconstructive surgery. If he hits one of those rods, he's gonna need a lot more beer to kill the pain. The guy went by us going at least 25mph on a pretty bumpy section.

God looks out for drunks and kids, I guess.

Tim

Ain't no cure for stoopid...................................

Who cares about the transmission? Your not going to hurt it. If I was a father and my kid was hauling around 4 other kids on my $7000 machine, I would be p***ed. Mostly because I wouldn't want my child to get hurt, and wouldn't want to be held liable for the other peoples kids who got hurt when it does happen.
