Default overheating prob on 330 magnum 4x4 (already searched)

I've already done a search, but every time I wash my ATV (hand wash), not getting water on the electronics, the next time I try to start it, the over heating light comes on and the fan immediatly cuts on.

I mean, the ATV has been sitting for two weeks, I start getting it ready for another trip, I stick the key in, turn to accessory, the fan kicks on and the over heating light comes on. The overheating light wasn't on when I turned it off two weeks ago. Any body know what's going on?

There is a Thermistor located on upper left corner of oil cooler. It has two wire leads. This is going to be the cause of the condition you describe. Replace this part and you should have no more trouble.

would it be alright to run the machine in this condition? Also, what steps may I take to prevent such situations in the future?

Thanks so much for the information. I really do appreciate it.
