While troubleshooting a problem on my Prairie 360 I saw a round black rubber top hanging near the battery. I got the part number from the rubber cover and the part inside of it. I did a search on Kawasaki web site. Neither part was recognized. I looked at the diagrams also and could not find the parts.

Can someone please take a picture of the vin on their kodiak 400 I have read all threads and can not find Vin, I'd say mine is between 99-02.

Don't know why you have stuck this in a strange post about Kawasakis, but Yams have the VIN on the front left lower frame tube, just in front of the footpeg, stupid place as it gets hit by grit, stones and vegetation, and is often unreadable. I have also come across a few that don't have a VIN at all.
