hey i wanna get rid of my raptor an get one so wat u think im like 6ft 210 n mostly mscle not the much fat but some so wat u think

how hard are they to take care of to ?

 

My buddy that I ride with is your size, and has an 04 banshee that fits him perfect... Go for it you won't regret it! And there not any harder to mantain than a Raptor...

Technically any two-stroke should have a fresh set of rings put in once a year. The thing you have to keep in mind is how simple a two-stroke is compared to a four-stroke. A four-stroke has cams, valves, timing chain, etc. A two-stroke doesn't. I can rebuild the top end on my banshee in about an hour. I think the rings are about thirty bucks per piston at the dealer. The thing I like most is that you get to see what is going on inside your engine. You can take advantage of it too. Just wait until the dead of winter to re-ring and use the downtime to send off your jugs for a good port job. A well built banshee is just as reliable as a four-stroke. Just remember to jet your carbs accordingly with the modifications you make. Jets are the life of a banshee. I know its a yamaha but I have had better luck with Honda HP2 mixing oil than any other too. Just think about it, banshee's are running pretty close to the newest high tech four-wheelers on the market and is down by 100cc's on displacment and you can go from running with to leaving in the dust with a set of pipes, reeds, and an air filter.

 

there not good in the winter are they well it dont matter ill jump on the snowmobile just wonderin though

 

They are good in the winter I just don't do as much riding because of the cold. Last year when I was working in MO, I had on my 10 paddle haulers and I had a blast in 12in. of snow.

 

can u get electric start for them or do is it like not really hard to get um
an is it a problem i dont hae a heated garage / any wehre to keep it outta the weather i usally throw tarp over it an sometimes keep it in heated garage but its hard to get permission to use it its to far away

1. no they dont make eletric start (you dont need it)
2. if its been sitting awhile then 3-4 kicks starts it
3. if its warm already 1-2 kicks
4. dont know about in the cold i havnt hadm ine that long

 

They're great bikes, i love mine, and IMO, its a much more stable and fun bike (in the right situations) than a rap. If you want to use it in trails, with the exception of fire roads, its probably not a good choice, but for anything open and fast its the king. Dunes, desert, drags, w/e. It starts up easy and there arent any electric start kicks, but its REALLY easy to kick over, only 6.5:1 compression. Cold, i dunno, but ive never had any probs with mine starting, ever. The rumors about them being hard to take care of are mainly just rumors. If you treat it bad, it will need work, but thats the same no matter what kind of bike you get, so treat it good and itll last a long time.
