Default Yamaha BW350

Just bought one, always wanted to get one. Found alot of BW 200, but finally found a complete BW 350, one that needs a little work. Can either do a road trip or get it shipped. This is the 350 with electric start and looks to be in good shape but needs some work. These are getting harder and harder to find. Does any one know how much they weigh or any big wheel web sites? Has anybody ever rode one? Thanks Gordie at polcat1998@aol.com

It has a hole in the engine case from a rock, was shut right off. It is in a spot that can be welded. Probably go thru it and freshen up rings and valves. Had to give 325 for it, but still cheap for this classic, especially as clean and complete as it is. Gordie

I have been wanting to get a big wheel and fix it up as well...As long as you can get it running...that seemes like a good price.

Do I recall that they shared engine parts with a Warrior? I'm trying to think back 15 years ago to the Dirtwheels article when the BW350 came out. Congratulations on your find. I sold my BW200 last year. It was slow, but it still was fun to tool around on. I imagine the BW350 has a lot more zip.

Go out on Ebay and look at the exact one he bought. I'm guessing there can't be two of them for sale out there with a hole in the case.

First bike was a BW 80.... Those things were fun, kind of a bitch in ruts, but fun.

I owned one in 1987 and i put a supettrapp pipe,k&n ,and re jetted it and it ran very strong. The BW 350 makes a very good dune machine if you want something with two wheels and it is the easiest bike to wheelie on that i ever owned which is probably due to the over sized tires.

Sounds cool. They look like a lot uf fun. As for finding out it's weight. 2 bathroom scales should curb your curiousity.
