i can't see why it wouldn't fit on your 250 unless the dimensions for the bolts are a lil different down by the bottom which i believe they aren't it would be so easy to fabricate this to fit if you had to do it the only thing i have to complain about the brush guard is that the headlights get dirty and you cant' get to them to clean them well and well i broke mine in 3 places but it does keep my front end down better cause my 650 wants to lift the front end up all the time and that lil bit of weight makes it better planted in the front which you won't have a problem and well it is a 6 point mounting system and 4 of those points are right on the stock rack so yeah go for it man good luck

FASTCAT; What I always do when I want to put something on mine is I go to the parts sites and look up the base item, in this case the frame and bumper for the 250 and the 300. If they are the same number then it's a go. My 2001 250 came without the inner fender panels and your left inner pant leg got splashed very badly by the right front tire and vice-a-versa. Otherwise real messy. I checked and the 300 inner fender panels would fit so ordered them along with the boot guards and installed them yesterday. Research is the key to seeing what will work, whether it came on it or not and what it will cost. When my shift cable went bad, I checked and the 2003 and newer linkage system would work. Besides being a more positive a shift system, it only cost me $70 for the change over parts and the cable alone is a $90+ item and needs replacement about every 3 years. I have found that in most cases if it fits the 300's it will fit the 250's except for the engine of course.
