Default 2 Stroke Transmision oil - Is it different than a 4 stroke?

A buddy of mine is changing his transmission oil and wanted to use some of my Yamalube 4 stroke engine oil.

I'm pretty sure its the same thing. I run 10w30 in my tranny and I think thats what I ran in my old Raptor too.

People like to run really high viscosity oil in their banshee trannies. Like ~75-85 weight or so. From what ive read belray gear saver seems to be popular. I havent put oil in my tranny yet. Im just gonna ask my builder what he suggests when I pour oil into mine.

I used to just run regular motor oin (5w30 10w30 10w40 ) whatever I had and then I tried belray gearsaver 75 wt and that stuff does kick @ss. It grabs a lot better now.
