First start with my story~ went riding today...rode for about 25 minutes......hit a ramp then BAM!!! chain snapped 4 teeth off of my front sprocket and the chain broke......which doesn't really bother me because I was going to get a new chain next weekend anyways...

but for the question.........whats the size sproket and chain........I'm thinking 520-76 for the chain and 13 tooth front sprocket....am I right?? I have a chain tensioner coming in also....will that effect the chain length or anything??? and last thing....we're can I get a good front sprocket???

13T front and 36T rear with a 520x76 O-Ring chain. I would highly suggest replacing the rear sprocket at the same time. I ordered my Sunstar sprockets from Hot Seat. The chain tensionor will not affect the chain length. I actually ordered a chain a little longer than I needed and cut it to the proper length. You can always remove links, but can't add them. And I hate to tell you this, but if you would have had the chain tensionor, you probably wouldnt have had this problem. The chain tensionor solves a lot of issues.

 

Ya, BBS,,,I know I know....but its funny because I ordered the tensionure Thursday and then it happened yesterday...but its all good...I got all the parts coming in so I know everything is going to be new and good to go...I ordered from rocky mountain last night.....I just hope the parts get to me by this week or I'm SOL...I leave for hatfield mccoy next monday...so I got my fingers crossed
