Since I've been looking for a replacement for my totaled 99 Banshee, it seems that the prices are down a LOT more than they were a couple of months ago when I bought mine. Does anyone else get the same feeling? Even the local "won't budge a red cent off of sticker" dealer wants to sell a new 2000 for 4999.oo.

 

What is the out the door price? It sounds like he is discounting them, but he may not be. There is a dealer in Phoenix that was advertising 2000 Banshees for 4599. I went up to get one after talking to them on the phone and when all was said and done they wanted over 6 grand out the door. Needless to say I went home empty handed. I ended up getting an 88 TRX250R for 3000 to park next to the 98 Banshee my wife rides. Life is good.

 

What could a dealer add that would up the price by $1400.00? Even if you had a 10% sales tax rate that would only be $450.00. No way could he charge $950.00 as transportation and assembly fees. This sounds like a dealer to stay away from.

 

You would be surprised what some dealers can come up with...

I saw an ad in a Cycle Trader listing the prices of brand new ATV's. It showed the quads MSRP and "blowout sale price." The sale prices were anywhere from $100 to $400 under dealer cost, I know because I have seen the dealer cost. Each price had a * by it. What did it say at the bottom of the page?
