Default Raptor Revs High In neutral

Ok so some of you may know this was My first weekend out on the new raptor, and I noticed a couple of things But first what I think is most Important. In Neuterl It will rev really fast (((((Sometimes.))))) If I give it Gas to maybe Clear the problem with hopes it will idle down It only Revs faster. I have seen others speak of this in other forums I tried a search, no luck.. Some Ideas? Idle screw? Also....Aftermarket Bars.. Who's using em' and what kind? size? etc? Yes My stock ones are already bent. Let me know...And thanks

Your idle is set too high; refer to your owners manual to fix this.

You need to turn the gold screw on your carb's and lower the idle some.

Rockymountainatv.com has several differnt handle bars, and a couple are in a Raptor Style. They have some great prices on about everything for a atv.

im not sure with ur carb, but for mine the idle screw is the one that is extended out of the carb by a piece of metal and has a cord that goes into the carb, it is also brass, and yes my guess is that this is too high.

You could have a lean setting at idle. I am not sure about the rappy, but there should be a small inset screw on the carb. Adjust this (air screw) to pump more gas in at idle.

Check as well to make sure the choke ain't slightly on and that all cables are not too tight, do this turning the bars in every direction too, this happens alot when switching bars out so keep that in mind as well.

Or your carbs are falling off of the boots, upp makes plastic boots, that eliminate this problem. The boots are the black things the carbs slide into, but the upp boots snap in. If your quad ever just stalls, and will crank, but not start, check if your carbs are on, it is a common problem.
