My friend and I went riding last weekend and when he got stuck going head first into a ditch, he shifted into reverse and 4wheel drive but only the rear wheels engaged. Does the 4wheel drive system on the Sportsman not engage in reverse?

I was stuck in deep snow a few times yesterday and had to back up. The AWD has to be on and then the overide button has to be pushed. That will take care of his problems.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

the yellow (?) button on the left side of the handelbars that says REVERSE/OVERRIDE and have it in 4x4. It will go full speed in reverse with this button pushed, so use carefully!
