RAPTOR CHAIN AND SPROCKET QUESTION

hello agian im going to replace my chain and rear sprocket and was going to drive up to rockymountain tommorow and get one but i have a few questions first if i get a 44 tooth rear sprocket will i be able to keep the stock skidplate? whats your opion on primary drive sprockets and chains i want a steel rear.and whats a h chain?ive heard of o and x but never h.rocky mountains got some for around 26 dolllars and it has a tensile rate of 8510 lbs is this a good chain i also noitced that some chains say designed for atv do i have to get a chain specificly for a atv? what size of chain should i get for a 12 44 combo??will the stock 520-92 work?

yea you want to gear down from the sounds of it and its easier to just get a new front b/c they are easier to change and 1 tooth in the front is = to two teeth in the back. if you are getting a new chain just b/c of the new rear sprocket its not worth it. if you are replacing the chain for another reason then i can see why you would want to do that. so now the choice is yours

I believe he posted something about his chain falling off earlier. Im not too sure if its same guy, but he is from utah [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] Good call on getting steel back sprocket and a new chain though. Many people suggest O ring or Xring chains they are a little more expensive, but are said to last longer. For me, any chain gets wasted by the sand here, so i stick with regular chains.

i already have a 12 tooth front sprocket on the front and its 3 teeth to 1 not 2 to 1 and yes im the same guy who lost his chain off the rear sprocket i have went to 22 inch tires 2 iches taller than stock and i want the bottom end back can i just put some washers on to make some more space on my skid plate??
