Default got my new rear skid from pro-armor!!!

i finally got my new rear swingarm skidplate from pro-armor!!!!

nuthin but qaulity. made entirely from 1/4inch aluminum. mounts with 2 bolts.

it fits right up to the stock chain guide. i think that there is room if i wanted to upgrade to a chain tensioner.

really nice piece,,, almost didnt want to mount it. but screw that!! now its time to put it to work!!

i have updated pics on my page. just waiting for approval. check em out!!

actually bought it thru rocky mountain atv. they had this skid plate for $15 cheaper ($102) than if you got it from pro armor directly($117).

Hey Xrated,

I hate to say it, but my Pro-Armor sits on shelf. I had it mounted to my 03 Trail Boss. It would toboggan in the snow. In other words, it would try to slay on top of the snow. The rear wheels couldn't bite in to get traction. In the sand it did the same thing - high center. I took it off this Spring because I knew it would do the same in the mud. Very disapointed. I'll sell it for half price. I paid $130.. I do hope you have better luck.

I was thinking of getting one also for my Scrambler 400. Pure Polaris has one for about $100. Was also looking at UM. Any other tips or advise on these and will I be able to use it with my (to be installed) RCR chain tensioner?

Nice bike X-rated. Those X editions and the Patriot series are sweet.
Did you loose much ground clearance with the Swing arm skid?

Dumb question here but how do you guys post the pictures, all of my jpeg. attachments are way too large. How do I reduce them for posting on this site, they were only taken with a 3.2 mp dig. camera.

Yours is a nice ride too X500. What kind of hand gaurd do you have? I have the Polaris hand gaurds on my 700 but they dont fit that great and look cocked. I thought the Polaris design and fit would be better so I'll probably go with a diff. brand for the Scrambler.
