YFZ450 reliability

Default YFZ450 reliability

I MIGHT be able to get ahold of a yfz450 this summer and i was wondering how reliable they are, what problems have you guys had with them? Are they as bad as the raptors?

both quad are very reliable..... (cept the 01 tranny on the Rappy.)

Default YFZ450 reliability

From what I have seen the YFZ is very reliable - (one heck of a great motor in that thing...) Issues I have seen are with the rims, Light and thin so look for these to start bending soon after you put the yz in the air, also the rear axel seems to be prone to bending (left side if I recall) search the forum lots of great reports on this bike can be found - enjoy it..
