I've had Honda and Yamaha. I was always partial to Honda since they were the pioneers so to speak.

My last two purchases were Yamaha, a new Blaster in 91 and a 99 Wolv. Yamaha just had what I wanted. Looks, performance, accessories, and price. I wouldn't be afraid of either manufacturers.
Neither manufacturer ever made exactly what I wanted when it came to options such as disc brakes, manual clutch or whatever. I would have to admit it is a great marketing technique, thus your always willing to buy the newer model when the updated options are added. But don't be afraid of buying Honda or Yamaha, both very reputable, dependable and resellable. Do your homework and buy the machine for the type of riding you'll be doing.

Such as, don't buy a blaster to go hunting or to carry to full grown adults with gear. Common sense..

Good Luck,,

I'm very happy with the 3 Yamahas that I purchased new. Oldest is a '95 Warrior, no problems with that except the occassional loose bolt. Get the quad that fits your intended riding style, take good care of it and don't look back. Honda or Yamaha are both excellent choices.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. I own Honda but almost purchased a Kodiak instead of my Rancher.

All manufacturers make a lemon every now & then.

I have a '99 Blaster that I bought new last June, and my oil injection just went out. But I still love it I just have to run premix now. I haven't had any other problems though.

Had a Honda 250 and Yamaha Warrior, both were excellent machines. You can't go wrong with either. Just a matter of flipping the coin...!!!

you can not go wrong with the honda or yamaha just pick the one that fits your needs the best. I prefer my kodiac to my 450 es mainly because of the on off 4 wheel drive it handels much better and the ergos for me are more comfortable.
