Default what happens when...
did any of you polaris guys ever jam your shifter in fowards when rolling backwards makin a really bad grinding sound? i just did this today for the first time ever and i wondering if this would hurt my tranny

i've done that a few times if i dont let the motor get to an idle before i shift it. I've never had any trouble because of it.

ive done that too....right after i start it ill rev it gently to warm it up but i dont let it idle ALL the way down.....ive done it many times but i thinkk u'll be just fine

so then everything is fine then. glad to hear that i was wondering if i would be loosing power or grinding off some teeth

nope, ur ok...its just one of those things u dont wanna see how loud u can make it or how long u can make it go, but just once or twice will hurt nothing

grinding of teeth is never a good thing to hear....that is why I hate the dentists!!

but yeah it has happend to me several times...mainly when I am in a hurry and dont wait for it to idle bacl down
