If you've never heard that sound, you're just too patient. We've all gotten in a hurry to ride and done it. My neighbors boyfriend took the Blazer for a ride, gassed it and tried to jam it into gear. I was half way across our campsite and heard that one.

 

Yeah, the same has happened to me. No big deal though. I haven't had any problems because of it. It happens when I'm rushing and don't let it idle down enough. Bound to happen to everyone once in a while.

 

Happens to me also, with both my Sportsman and Scrambler. I've found that if I stand on the foot brake it doesn't happen with my sportsman, but it is an older one where the rear caliper is mounted to the tranny. It does seem to help also with the Scrammy if I hold the brakes, but still it is waiting and being patient for the most part. I generally just leave it in gear, but with the clutch mod it takes a few rpms to grab anyhow.
