Amazing Gorilla Axles.......Sidewinder Sprockets......?
#1
We went riding 2 weekends and had some trouble with spreading the yolks(front shafts on dads 400) and it ruined the trip needless to say. Ordered gorilla axles threw them in and worked flawlessly. We also blew a chain and it pilled into the tranny. A hole the size of a can. New halfs on the way and ordered Sidewinder ti-molly chain and sprockets. Any good? Any one used them before? We were on a 85mile trail(45miles of it was mud holes and muskeg) and drove it out in front wheel drive without ever slowing down. Gorilla is definatly one notch up in my books for strenght and durability.

Scrammy400,
I really like your father's 400 Exp. I would like to do something similar. I have a 400 Exp that I am rebuilding from the ground up. Where did you guys get the +2" extended A-arms? How much were they? Did they require new CV axles to accomodate the longer A-arms? Do you have any wheel scrubbing issues with the 27" tires? Any help would be appreciated. You and your Dad have some sweet rides.
Thanks,
Greg

My dad owns a custom snowmobile building shop by the name of mountain magic(www.emountainmagic.com), and fabs parts for a living. He made his own +2 chromolly a arms due to the lift kit he added to keep the tires square and riding nice. His motor makes about 60 horse and was just blowing the stock front axles apart. They were weak and above all other things to short= gorilla axles fit in and were and inch longer. Yes he also had to add wheel spacers to stop the rubbing. But the end result is an awsome quad that will spank any 4*4 quad off the line today for the same amount of money when its all said and done as a new 700 Pol or 660 Griz.
