BigALFX4 I have a pic of the can of paint I used on my 400 Scrambler's muffler and a pic of the muffler after painting on my pics page. It is good to 1200 deg. I think I bought it at Auto Zone.

Beltdrive, do you need to bake that stuff on like a lot of high temp paints? I used a gas grill paint for some tractor manifolds that you don't need to bake in an oven. Seems to work pretty well. rooster

BigALFX4 no you dont have to back it on. I just put about four coats on it giving about a hour between coats and letting it dry overnight. If you could get it out in the hot sun to dry that would be better yet.

Did you strip the old paint before repainting? If so how?

I used that same Dupli-Color 1200 degree stuff and it lasted a few hours before it bubbled and melted off in some spots. What did I do wrong?
