I need to change my warrior's oil, what type and grade should I use?? I've been told to use motorcycle oil, but how is that different than regular old car oil (penzoil, mobile, etc.)?? I usually use regular old NAPA 10w-30 in my dads big bear, is it OK to use that in my warrior?? please let me know. I didn't get an instruction manual when I bought my 93 used 2 months ago, I'm sure it would tell me in there. thank you in advance.

use yamaha 4 motor oil only the regular car oil is not the same as this, also never use any type of lube like slick50 or such as it is not good for autoclutches such as the bigbear.

I've been using Pennzoil or Quaker State interchangeably in 10w40 for many years with no problems whatsoever. For below zero temps Yamaha advises 5w30. I change my oil about every 20 hours of riding. If you don't intend to chage yours that frequently you may want to run 20w/40

I use the Yamalube oil. At my dealer it is about $3.50 or more a bottle. And I think it takes about 2 1/2 to 3 quarts to fill it up.

I was paying $2.95 a quart for Yamalube, but then I switched to 99 cent automobile oil and I've had no problems with it. A Warrior takes 2.6 quarts of oil if you remove and clean the oil filter. If you leave it on, the old oil (0.2 qts?) stays put.
