On my 2001 AC 250 2X4 I get a temp lite sometimes. By sometimes I mean when in any forward gear, sometimes. Never in neutral or reverse. If lite is on and I shift to neutral lite goes out and will not come on in reverse ever. Now my factory manual wiring diagram shows a wire from the lite to the insturment lite plug and then nothing to a temp switch. Doesn't even show a temp switch on the page. I looked over the motor and find the reverse switch, the neutral switch ; but no temp switch. Where the h$ll is it or does it even exsists? BTW, motor is not hot and oil cooler is barely warm to the touch.
