for the first gas tank u should go easy on it. no more than 1/2 throttle, then thats it, u just wanna make sure that some stuff inside seats good. after that u should be fine and go ahead and rip it. oh yea and change ur oil after the first tank

The first new Honda I got I babied and had to bore 2 sizes,at the same time, about 9 months later. The second one I broke in like I ride and the piston came out 2 years later for a 416 and could be used again. It is my opionon to go for it.

I idn't start it up full throttle and just go rip. I did take it to the dunes within an hour of it running though. I broke my 450r in the same way and time will tell. My wife just got a predator today and it is not going to be broke-in, just ridden.

If you have babied it even a little already, it is probably to late! Change your oil and filter at 2 hrs., and 10 hrs., and run dino oil only (Honda GN4) for the first 20 hrs. Then after that, you can switch to a synthetic if you like (like Honda HP4).
