ok i posted like 2wks ago about this some of u may remember.... heres the scoop... starter is fine... solnoid is fine..(tried crossing it over and didnt make the starter jump any) i had assumed it was one of the 2 relays near the soloid.... well i got my new on on today.. and now the front relay is acting up... making noises and buzzing sounds while turning key on and off and messing with the run switch... the neutral light sometimes is normal and bright but soon as i hit starter button it will dim out and relay will make nosies... i tired using wires and wiring the plug together no change didnt do anything.... i'm starting to get really pissed here.... driving me nuts too!!!

all this was done with a battery booster hooked up... so the battery is fine also

i'm bout ready to carry a long wire with me and just jump the starter when i want it too crank.....lol

 

that battery booster wont turn over the bike, you either have to hook the batt to a truck's batt or let it charge for a while. If the engine is turning over, check your coil connections and make sure the batt terminals are on nice and tight with no corrosion.

 

ok i got it to crank over (the starter).... had a bad connection at the batt terminals...just cleaned em..... err anyway heres the thing ... the starter is going backwards??????? cant figure out y???...

 

i have the same problem. it makes a buzzing sound when i turn on the key and when i pull in the clutch. the only way i got it to start was pushing it or hookin up a batery charger and crossing the bolts on the solenoid. . i just cleaned the batt terminals . what the hell is wrong with it

 

ya sure its goin backwards? theres a gear between the starter and crank that would reverse the spin
