Default Explantion of Power vs Weight

You can work out the real difference with ratios. Say somone has 40hp and him + the quad = 500lbs. He has a 1:12.5 hp to weight ratio. Say you weigh 100lbs more and have an equal engine, so 40hp and 600 lbs = 1:15 so you would need 48 (20% hp increase) to get the same ratio as of power to weight as him, or lose 100 lbs. Fun huh? (just divide your bottom number by his bottom number and multiply that times your current hp).

If anyone sees anything wrong with any of these thoughts please explain what I did wrong.

40/500 = 2:25 or 1:12.5
40/600 = 2:30 or 1:15

to figure how much hp is needed to compensate you do 15/12.5x40 or your weight per hp divided his wieght per hp multiplied by your original hp to find out how much hp you would need to equal him in power to wieght ratio. This is throwing out all other variables though.
