How hard is it to keep a Stock Raptor Front end off the ground?
#1
660R... Is it very hard to keep the front end off the ground? I also heard that when you really get onto it, the front end will wanna jump up & over... Any clarification I can get on this would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

You can keep the front on the ground as much as you want...But it will always want the front to come up in the air....And, as long as you know how to ride, It shouldn't. It might want to, but it's fairly easy to make it not.

Our stock 04 Raptor actually pulls wheelies really easy. My 02 is unbelievably torquey, but it's got more distance to travel before the wheels come up do to the new a-arms I have. Either way though, they are wheelie machines. If you ask me, I think it's more in your throttle control. If you don't mash it on the low end you won't wheelie nearly as much. Just my $.02

As with anything, it is only as fast as you "gas it" you sit back on the seat and, gun it off the line? Your gonna wheelie. You Rev it up in 2nd and, dump the clutch? Your gonna Wheelie. You try to wheelie? Your gonna Wheelie!
Sit up near the tank and, have a little common sense and, your on all fours!....... Stock that is!

When the bike it stock it's still pretty controllable with the wheelies. After you get it piped/filter/jetted and tuned good to those settings it will wheelie way easier! When mine was at that stage even when starting to hillshoot on a downhill start it would want to wheelie out of control unless I was litterally sitting on the gas tank. You can only imagine how it was after my 686 kit...that +4" swingarm was a life saver, litterally!

I'm just curious about your guys's thoughts about the 686 kit. I'm thinking of getting my 02 into that kit, but would you say it's worth it or would you say getting a banshee or 450 would be smarter? If so, what 686 kit should I got with. I'm leaning towards Kenz what do you think?
